The Short Story of Stones is a book inspired by facts. It consists of short stories that form a single unity. At the very beginning, it presents the tragedy of a child experiencing trauma and shows the world through her eyes. Then it illustarates the life of an adult struggling with the consequences of a painful drama. This work is a cascade of the most intimate feelings. Above all of them there is an unfading hope for a dignified and worthwhile life despite the burden of irreversible fate "Nobody reads anything. If he reads, he understands nothing, and even if he does, he remembers nothing…,” wrote Stanisław Lem prophetically several decades ago. Professor Zimbardo, on the other hand, when accused of “making a show” during a lecture, responded that everyone (possibly including the lecturer himself) slept during traditional lectures and that they did not remember anything from a lecture of this kind.
