The Good News is that there is a higher form of Love than human love. God loves you and wants a close relationship with you. John, a follower of Jesus, said God is Love (1 John 4:8). John also said, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God(1 John 4:7). If God is Love, then knowing Love means that we also know God. If we believe that Love is real, if we love others and accept Johns testimony, then God is also real and has the qualities of Love that we have experienced. Love is always available, faithful, caring and true. Gods Love can bring something good out of bad situations, provide hope, and give us the strength to live through the situations. Jesus talked about and demonstrated Gods Love for all people. Jesus was the Son of God, which meant that he came from God and lived his life perfectly, as God wanted him to live it. He showed a new relationship with God, a relationship of Love, service, forgiveness and reconciliation. Jesus provides Love, hope, and strength that helps each person live a better life on earth, and an eternal life to come.
