Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray, the father of Indian chemistry, a well-known Indian scientist, teacher, and one of the first “modern” Indian chemical researchers, was one of the role models in this regard. Hydroxychloroquine or HCQ, the anti-malarial drug publicized by some, as a potential weapon against Covid-19, has put the spotlight on a company founded by Prafulla Chandra Ray. So, to pay profound respect and homage to Sir Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray on the eve of his 159th Birthday, this is a small attempt of us to focus light on some recent development in the therapeutic use of chemical compounds and drug delivery.
