There are 473.18 grams in 16 fluid ounces of water. It takes 1 calorie to raise 1 gram of water by 1 degree Celsius. So, if your body raises the temperature of 473.18 grams of water by 37 degree Celsius it burns 17508 calories. But this is calorie with a small c. It actually denotes only 17.5 calories.
