PRIYANKA SRIVASTAVA, the poetess, hails from Ramnagar, Varanasi. She was born at Paternal house of late P.M. Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri in Ramnagar. She has done M.A., B.Ed in English Literature. She had been teaching as an English Teacher in Jamshedpur. At present, she is pursuing Research in English Literature from Gorakhpur University (U.P). Growing up in the Switzerland of India, ‘Sonbhadra’ district (U.P.), in the midst of valleys, hills , streams , lush green trees and heavy rainfall, she developed a compassionate love for flora and fauna. She is a philanthropist and Nature-lover. She is fond of reading books, teaching, writing poetries and social work. ‘FRAGRANT BLOSSOMS OF SOLITUDE’ is her debut poetry book which is a collection of the mesmerising past memories, sad realities of life, an attempt to escape through fantasies as well as a hope for the future, all expressed in the lyrical form.
