Diary of an Ordinary Man As in "EXTRAORDINARY" presents a year's worth of the events, thoughts, incentives, and reactions that came about in the wake of this highly traumatic experience. And yes, it sometimes feels racist, opinionated, slanted, even seeing red. The anchor event of the book is the author's car crash, which might well have led to his aortic valve replacement. It is also what motivated the Diary, and gave birth to philosophical essays not normally expected to be triggered by such an event.
