The Governor of Kentucky hires the Pinkerton Agency to get involved in the Hatfield-McCoy Feud. He wants Devil Anse Hatfield, the head of the family, brought to justice. But after two Pinkerton Ops disappear, Robert Pinkerton tells the governor there's only one man he can think of to take on the job now—Clint Adams, the Gunsmith.
