This book is a collection of poetry I have been writing over the years. I don’t have much confidence in it to call it a good piece of literature, but I can call it good art because it has come right out of my heart and there hasn’t been much peddling around it, as I am not a writer or a poet. There were moments of desolation which I have tried to pen and some silly stories that kept popping in my mind. It is mostly a rant on my life and the times. It is ordinary because I am ordinary. Thankfully nothing has happened to me, which is catastrophic or has not happened to the women of this country. I can’t boast of deep experiences because it’s largely been a shallow life. I grew up like any normal kid, got married, had kids, reached midlife and wondered, what have I done with my one life to be proud of? What have I to leave behind when I die? Absolutely nothing! That is when I tried doing a lot of things all at once and failed completely because I neither had the skill nor the patience to learn. Then I finally decided to publish my poetry, however dull or incompetent it may be. Whatever this book is made up of, it is my ticket to freedom. Having contributed something to this world, I can go back to my chores and not give much thought to the world and the beings in it who are in need of me and all the hands they can manage to make it a better place.
