Once, long ago and far, far away, there was a boy named Rupert, the sharpest and most prudent lad in his village. One night around the campfire he and others from the village were listening with amazement to a veteran soldier ÿwho was telling the story of his adventures ? and of the City of Fortune. ?It is situated on the summit of a very high mountain, so steep that only very few have succeeded in reaching the top,? he said. ?There, gold circulates in such abundance that the inhabitants do not know what to do with the precious metal.? Taking note the next morning Rupert asked the soldier the way to the city. ?"The way is long and rocky, and full of difficulties which must be overcome. Sharp pebbles will tear your feet and a thousand more terrible difficulties will arise to meet you.? Rupert thanked the soldier and considered his future in the village against a journey to the City of Fortune. The village will be still be here whether I fail or succeed he reasoned. And so with his mind made up Rupert packed a swag-bag and saying good-bye to his parents and his brother, began to walk in the direction of the City of Fortune. What happened next you ask?? Did Rupert make it to the City of Fortune and would there be a price to pay? Well many things happened, some silly and funny, and some serious.
